5 simple tricks to earn extra money at every wedding

1. Use the Gift Registry, Gively

Gively is a web-based gift registry for photography products or other wedding vendors. That means brides can sign up for their services or products (overtime, impressions, videos), and people give them away instead of making silly things like towels or pans. Boyfriends get something they really want, friends and family feel like they gave them something of real value, and you make extra money; It’s the perfect situation!

2. Halfway to sale or addition

One of the great things about weddings is that there is a huge time difference between the initial booking and the actual wedding. This allows us to sell to our clients in that period of time. About halfway between the reservation and the wedding is a good time to offer a special to your clients. At this point, the sting of the deposit is long forgotten, so they are much more likely to buy. If you are doing things right, you must have a good relationship with them, so that they know and trust you. Offer them something they don’t already have and preferably something that will make a big difference to the wedding experience. I offer wedding videos and photo booths, but something like albums or prints can also be offered.

3. Sell to family and friends

When I started making money from photography, I didn’t offer prints. It was another thing I would have to think about and spend time doing, and I really didn’t want to try to sell more stuff to people. He didn’t know how easy it was to sell copies and how much money he was leaving behind. If you’re already selling copies, then you’re on the right track, but the extra money comes from selling to family and guests.

4. Group photos of the table

While you’re at the wedding, make sure you go to all the tables and offer to take a group photo of them and then smaller groups. Now, for many of you seasoned pros, you’re probably already doing this, and you think I’m weird for bringing it up. This used to be the norm, but a lot of photographers don’t do it anymore, myself included. As I said before, when I started, I didn’t sell copies, so I didn’t see the need to focus on guests. None of my clients asked me to do it, so I never started shooting in a group.

5. Create extras to sell after the wedding

Once people have committed to using you as their wedding photographer, it’s much easier to try to sell them something else. They feel comfortable with you and trust you because they have already bought something and it has turned out amazing. After the wedding is another great opportunity to sell to your clients. It can be done in different ways, but I prefer to do it in person when I’m showing the images to clients. This way they get excited and excited about the photos, and I’m there to explain things to them and motivate them to buy.

MAIN SOURCES OF INFORMATION ON FEDERAL FUNDING

The CFDA, published annually and continually updated on the Web, describes over 1,600 federal grants and non-financial assistance programs. Applicants can find programs that could support their projects and can learn the objectives, requirements, procedures and contacts for the application process of each program. For current notifications of funding availability, check  Grants.gov  or  FedConnect .

Grants.gov   (through the Department of Health and Human Services)
Grants website that allows eligible applicants (see Who is eligible for a grant ?) to find and apply for current competitive grant opportunities from ALL federal agencies. Applicants can check the Notices of Funds Availability (NOFAs) that have been posted within the last 7 days; access RSS feeds of scholarship opportunities; and apply for federal grants through a unified process by downloading the application online. The website guides applicants to obtain a  Dun and Bradstreet Number  (DUNS), register with the System for Award Management (SAM), and register with Grants.gov to apply and track applications. For a full description of the federal program, see CFDA below. Also visit the FedConnect website   for additional grant and contract opportunities.

State and Local Agency Points of Contact  (Office of Management and Budget)
Under Executive Order 12372, some states require federal grant applicants to submit a copy of their application for review and comment at the state government level. The state offices listed here coordinate federal financial assistance and may direct federal development. For assistance in identifying grants at the state level, other state and local government agency websites can be found at:  State and local agencies .

CFDA at Local Libraries (Government Printing Office)
Although CFDA is available in its entirety on the Internet, some prefer a print edition. However, only the web version is continually updated — the volume is published annually, without supplements. The CFDA is available at all  Library Federal Repositories.

Registration is open for children to receive Christmas gifts at the ‘Salvation Army’

This is the second year Diana Palacios has signed her daughter up for free toys at the Salvation Army of Ridgewood.

“I like it, because my daughter was very happy when she came to see the toys, she says ‘mami surprise’ – I told her ‘yes, my daughter, only surprise for you’… since she was my first daughter, then I was moved to see her joy, it was my joy,” Palacios said.

This is the ‘Angel Tree’ program, which has been giving away toys to poor children under 12 years of age for more than 35 years.

“It’s not just any little gift. We look for what they like. What we want is for them to feel happy when they open their little gift on Christmas day,” said Melissa Bonet, a lieutenant with the Salvation Army of Ridgewood.“It’s not just any little gift. We look for what they like. What we want is for them to feel happy when they open their little gift on Christmas day,” said Melissa Bonet, a lieutenant with the Salvation Army of Ridgewood.

Children can order a total of three items.

“I asked for my daughter a doll and a tricycle so that she can play and I am waiting for everything to be favorable with God’s blessing and for my daughter to have that same joy that she will have what she wants. In general, who gives you a gift for Christmas? Here, if you don’t work, you don’t have your things,” added Palacios.

Registration is open on Tuesdays from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm through October 19.

To register your children you need to bring a copy of the birth certificate from any country, an ID, proof of income and address.

“Previously we have sponsored about 100, 150 families, this year we would love to reach 200 families,” added Bonet.

In addition to Ridgewood, registration for this program is open at other Salvat
